The theme for the game jam was "No More Room". I had an idea to create the reality that the player mentally doesn't have any room and make the player think under pressure. An infinite maze game set in a forest theme world. Having a dark and mysterious setting. Tried making this game to be more of a psychological aesthetic as there is nothing in the game itself that will attack the player. I had a thought process and did some research that telling someone that something is true or getting them to believe that something is real will mess with the mind behind the screen. The game itself will convince the player there is something there. Making it more like a horror environment experience rather then a game. There is no escape to the maze as it's a loop. Making the setting pitch black and having a flashlight adds to the horror of the night which is being portrayed as limited vision for the player and realism.

The reason I chose this design choice is to develop the idea that the mind is the most powerful and experiment with how people will react when playing a game that they think they need to watch out for something but in reality, nothing is there.

Developed on my own in Godot and using Blender to develop the maze map. Developed for the "Lame Jam" game jam. I made the sound effects by recording myself outside stepping on grass. I felt this was a good choice as it sounds real.
